SongFest II

The Dubuque Chorale joins other local choirs for the 2nd Annual SongFest, a festival of choral music. Choirs include the Chorale and Cadenza, the Julien Chamber Choir, the Dubuque Music Men Barbershop Chorus, and groups from Loras, Clarke, the University of Dubuque, Emmaus, and UW-Platteville.

Program:  Songs by each choir, followed by a massed choir performance of Aaron Copland’s “Stomp Your Foot” and “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Scenes from Childhood »

The Dubuque Chorale Children’s Choir debuts, joining the Chorale and Cadenza for a concert inspired by the innocence and wonder of childhood.

Program:  Songs exploring the theme of children and childhood, based on poetry and literature written about, for, and by children.

The Dubuque Symphony Orchestra’s annual Holiday Concert featuring the Dubuque Chorale Children’s Choir at the Family Concert, the Chorale and Cadenza at the Celebration concert.

Special guests include the Heartland Ballet and baritone Wayne Tigges.

The Best of Opera

The Dubuque Chorale joins the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra for a program of opera classics.

Program:  Choral pieces include “The Anvil Chorus” from Il trovatore, “The Coronation Scene” from Boris Godunov, “Pilgrim's Chorus” from Tannhauser, “Les Voici” from Carmen, and “The Triumphal Scene” from Aida.
