The Dubuque Chorale and Children’s Choirs open the season with a celebration of home. The concert touches on the many aspects of what “home” means to different people. Our partner for the concert is Opening Doors, a non-profit organization whose programs help women and children experiencing homelessness in our community.
Reflections of Home features the premier performance of the Chorale’s newest children’s choir, the Staccati Singers! They are joined by the original Children’s Choir, newly named the Legati Singers, and the adult Chorale and Cadenza.
The concert repertoire explores three facets of home, in three sections entitled Imagine, Cultivate, and Reminisce. Selections come from a wide variety of musical genres—folk tunes, classical numbers, show tunes, pop songs. For details, explore the additional program notes here.
Admission is free of charge. A freewill offering will be taken.
The Steeple Square Event Center is the former St. Mary’s church on the corner of 15th and White Streets in downtown Dubuque. Parking is adjacent to the facility.
