Grand Opera House, 135 WEST 8th St, Dubuque
For the first time in the Dubuque Chorale’s history, animals will share the stage with the musicians!
The Dubuque Chorale, Children’s Choir, and Cadenza offer a concert of songs inspired by the animal kingdom. For this event, the Chorale partners with the Dubuque Regional Humane Society. The Humane Society will guest star off-stage as well, with visitors able to take advantage of an on-site adoption service.
The exciting program includes the Children’s Choir premier of a newly commissioned piece by Dubuque native Adam O’Dell. The concert ends with a combined choir performance of “All Things Bright and Beautiful,” which has the title of the concert as its second line.
McGraw-Hill’s Kurt Strand will emcee the concert, and additional commentary will be provided by Dr. Kris Wright from UW-Platteville, Dr. Andrea Bixler from Clarke University, and Charles Winterwood from the Dubuque Audubon Society.
Tickets are available through the Grand Opera House. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children under 18. You may
